The Eternal To-do List

The Eternal To-do List

For 2017
Get peas sorted so got earlies and maincrop?   Or could just keep planting kelvedon wonder successionally from March outdoors to the end of July?

Poly Tunnel on 13 with two water butts filled from the overflow from the shed water butts?

Blight resistant potatoes

Updated for 2016
  • Fasten a thin bit of wood across the bits that were cut out of the water barrels on
  • Get partition done for greenhouse
  • Get some bungees back in the sheds!

Strawberry Bed
  • Start on the strawberry bed concept - start fastening down runners in August! Needs pots and a bit of wire to fasten em down with.  - after a month chop off the runners and put em in Cold Frame. Done half way through July!
Strawberries - needs work - what they do commercially is grow them off the ground in like a gutter - might see if I can do something like that to get em out of the way of ruddy slugs.
  • Use metre squared from home as base - possibly use black fleece to stop weeds?
  • Use some of compost that's been in it and dig in a load of manure.
Water Collection
  • Get breeze blocks and 18 x 18 garden slabs for water butts sorted out
  • Get overflow sorted from one that on left to one that's on the right.
  • Get something to put watering can on so you can leave it filling up
  • Take the guttering off and possibly pull the pipe out of the IBC and put the seal straight onto the pipe before re-inserting.
  • Get an overflow sorted for the IBC
  • Get the two barrels sorted out for Shed 7
  • Get a chisel on that bit of breeze block that's sticking out before Summer 2016!!
Shed
  • Does it need a bit of a paint?
  • Fasten down the shed with chicken wire possibly? Could certainly use the been poles when we're finished as will be using canes next year, probably
  • Put canes inside of Shed 7!!
Tidying up
  • Take the four big posts off the site.
  • Take mini-greenhouse back home.  NO - leave it in free stuff

Netting
  • The 99p shop netting is apparently 6m x 1.5m - can they be connected lengthways I wonder to make 6m x 3m big nets for the brassicas??

Path
  • Use 450x450 mini slabs for pathway
